A long and disorganized rant about some of the things I hate about Apple. A work in progress.
Relearning how to use a mac (for work) and hating every moment. This UX is dogshit. I'm a sucker for expecting apple product to perform basic duties.
idk why mac has a system settings page to show me apps that launch on start up, if it only shows like 2 of the 9 that do
I got excited for a sec thinking mac would actually let me jump to a workspace/desktop with a keyboard shortcut rather than swiping through them one at a fucking time. but then I realized this only works if the workspace is NOT a full screen app, which in my case it almost always is. so even if it (for god knows what reason) only supports shortcuts for two desktops, it doesnt even apply to my workflow
I can't just jump to a specific desktop, I have to go one by and even when I turn off their dumb sliding animation I have to wait like 600ms per desktop so going from desktop 1 to 3 takes more time than necessary, and 20% of the time is busted because the OS hardly supports desktops with full screen apps. Mac only lets you jump to a specific desktop if it's the first or second desktop and is NOT a full screen app. I understand why no one I speak to uses this functionality. Because despite it being an efficient way to work its a fuckin busted afterthought.
I swear this machine is built to look pretty and doesnt care about efficiency. I'm always so impressed when I make an app full screen on mac and it doesn't completely shit its pants.
Not only is the "quick note" "hot corner" an absolute dog shit feature (enabled by default), but there are two system setting modals for hot corners that i had to look at in order to turn it off. Apple is like, "dog shit feature?? enable it by default!!! and lets make two different windows for the same thing !!!"
The way it decides to only always open Zoom in my system preferences rather than opening zoom itself, when I type "zoom"
It's also pretty cool how Finder uses a quarter gig of RAM for reasons unbenknownst to anyone.

I also can't install apps on mac OR iphone without giving them my billing info.. is this the same on windows also?
MacOS has an insane amount of bugs from windows flying across the screen and minimized windows staying minimized. It's a nightmare.
